INTO Pathway Nutrition

The EAP 507 course have taught me how to pay attention to rhetorical features and structures in different types of academic and professional communication and to produce research-based written, oral, and visual texts for academic or professional audiences. I learned several ways to report on academic research (trade publications, academic journal articles. I have also tried using different methods to help find published material on a topic, critically read and take notes, organize and synthesize knowledge, draft and write literature reviews, and repurpose research.

This course is a general introduction to nutrition. The content of the course includes recognizing and understanding various nutrients, how to classify them and how to utilize them. I've covered most of these topics in my undergraduate courses, but it's always fun to review and consolidate them.

This is a course in data science. The study in this course taught me how to analyze existing health care data sets, including building appropriate graphs and charts using Excel, analyzing health care problems by applying appropriate descriptive and reasoning techniques and methods, interpreting statistical results, understanding and analyzing statistical methods in the scientific literature. I should also be able to demonstrate a mastery of basic concepts and tools for describing statistics, probabilistic models, and statistical inference.

This course provides me with preparation before starting my graduate career. In this course, I learned to reflect on my cross-cultural development and adapt to the American academic environment. I will guide and reflect on the commitment to diversity and inclusion as it relates to American higher education. At the same time, I also recognize academic responsibility, engagement, and integrity, and establish links between graduate study and career preparation through interactive applications on campus, and through professional exploration.
